Happy Independence Day America 7/04/23

Two hundred and forty-seven years ago fifty-six men gathered together in prayer and purpose to defy a tyrannical and oppressive government.

They would be hunted, Branded traitors to the Crown of England, and most would die in poverty. They would lose their lands, suffer tremendous indignities, and birth arguably the greatest nation on earth.

They were not paid. Not one cent was given for travel or food as the government they were creating had not been formed yet. Theirs was a noble calling, Most of them believed it was the Providence of the Almighty God that was leading them down the path of freedom.

Now they are falsely called deists, and atheists, we have come so far as to forget their writings and quotes. Though many were slave owners, most of those treated their slaves well, and even had relationships that bore children that can be traced to men and women living today.

They were men of reason, science, debate, and process. Giving everything they had to follow the call to freedom.

The documents they wrote were designed to limit the power they and their future civil servants would have while emphasizing the individual rights of the citizen.

You see my friends they believed that if the government protected the people's FREEDOM, then the people would be able to keep themselves SAFE.

Benjamin Franklin stated it best when he said" Those who would trade freedom for safety deserve neither."

Don't believe me?

We all know those Immortal words from the Declaration of Independence.

" ..... All men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, That among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."

But did you ever look to the words immediately following those?

"---That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just power from the governed."

They plainly say that they believed Government's purpose is to secure our rights. Not our safety. Let that sink in.

In this day of congressmen and senators becoming overnight millionaires, trying to reinterpret the sacred restrictions that check their power. They attack even the Bill of Rights which was worded very specifically and plainly to guarantee the individual's rights and freedoms.

In the name of safety, they carve up the freedom of speech and Contort the restrictions on a government-endorsed religion to mean God has no place in guiding their actions.

In the name of safety, they infringe on the right that protects all others. over and over they lay burdens and obstacles in the path to exorcise our right to keep and bear arms. The one right we were given to keep them in check.

I don't know where this Country is headed. It seems to me that we are in the decline we have seen in many nations of history as they die. The United States is not mentioned in Biblical prophesy, so we will either be insolvent, incapable of aiding Israel at the last, Too Occupied with internal problems to help, or worse yet among the nations who rise against God's chosen people.

I don't know which. The way I look at us today it will be the first. Corruption is rife throughout all branches, and parties of Government. Our people have been groomed to hate the country that keeps them free and prospers them.

We all act like stooges for those who would see us tear ourselves apart. The freedoms we enjoy are being seen as clubs to beat those who don't agree with us into being quiet, or complicit with our sinful lives.

All this being true I will die for this country if asked. My oath to the Constitution has no expiration date. That enshrined piece of poetry rules my 20 acres of the country. Wear your side arm here, and state your beliefs whether I agree or not. Just remember as you voice the opinion you have a right to voice, I will voice mine, and if you draw your arms for evil, I will draw mine in defense of life and liberty.

But that is not going to happen. We are reasonable people, otherwise, our country would have died long ago.

God Bless you, and God bless America!
